Why Students Choose Us

01

Real Equipment

Learn on heavy-duty, meticulously maintained machines. No flimsy plastic toys here. Every machine is threaded and test-sewn before class, so no session starts with a repair.

02

Small Classes

With a strict six-student maximum, you will never be stuck waiting twenty minutes for help with a bobbin jam. When something goes wrong, the instructor reaches you in seconds.

03

Expert Instruction

Taught by professional makers who sew daily, not hobbyists reading from a corporate manual. Every technique is demonstrated, then coached while you do it yourself.

What Our Students Say

★★★★★

"I brought in a machine I inherited and was terrified to use. The beginner class demystified everything. I left the first session having actually made something."

Sarah M.

★★★★★

"The small class size is everything. When I messed up my zipper in the garment class, the instructor was right there to help me fix it before I got frustrated."

David K.

★★★★★

"Real equipment in a gorgeous studio. It does not feel like a stuffy classroom. I have taken three classes now and plan to keep coming back."

Meet Your Instructor

Our lead instructor has been sewing for over twenty years and teaching for more than a decade. Classes are built around the belief that sewing should not be intimidating, and that learning is best done on sturdy machines in a supportive environment.

The goal is not just to help you finish a project. It is to teach you the underlying mechanics so you have the confidence to sew anything on your own.

Common Questions

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?

No. Machines are provided, threaded, and tested before every class. If you would rather learn on your own machine you are welcome to bring it, and we will check it over before you start.

I have literally never sewn before. Which class is for me?

The beginner sewing class. It assumes no experience at all and starts with threading the machine.

Are materials included in the cost of the class?

Thread, needles, and the fabric for your first project are included. For later projects you choose your own fabric and we will tell you exactly what to buy.

What is your cancellation policy?

Tell us as early as you can and we will move you to another date at no charge. The detailed policy is in our terms of service.

Where should I park?

Free street parking is available near the studio. We will send you specific directions and parking notes when you book.
